According to Hong Kong and Chinese media reports, China has recently resumed exports of some Nexperia chips. Reuters reported that Aumovio, a subsidiary of German Continental AG and an automotive component supplier, said that it had recently received the first batch of Nexperia chips from China. It is the first supplier confirmed to have received exemption approval from China’s semiconductor export controls and counts Volkswagen, Stellantis and BMW among its customers.

Philipp von Hirschheydt, CEO of Omovi, said at the third quarter financial report meeting that "we have once again obtained exports (chips) from China." As for the vacation and production shutdown measures previously prepared for precautionary reasons, "we believe that (now) this is likely to be unnecessary."

Germany's Handelsblatt also quoted Ralf Brandstaetter, head of Volkswagen China, as revealing that the automotive industry had received the first batch of chips, saying that "after reaching an agreement with the United States, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce responded quickly and announced that it would grant a short-term special license." Whether this mechanism can continue to operate will depend on the relationship between the United States and China.

Honda Executive Vice President Yumi Umihara also said that it has received notification from China to start shipments and is working hard to resume production at the affected factories; looking forward to the future, it is still difficult to make a clear judgment. Honda suspended production at a plant in Mexico at the end of October and adjusted factory operations in the United States and Canada.

Regarding the Nexperia issue, the spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated on the 8th that the Dutch side should not just stop at words. It should put forward constructive plans as soon as possible and take practical actions to quickly and effectively restore the stability of the global semiconductor supply chain from the source, and stop using administrative means to intervene and interfere in the internal affairs of the company, so as to promote the early resolution of the Nexperia issue. The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce also stated that China agreed to the request of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs to send personnel to China for consultation.
