In an interview with the club's official website, Liverpool defender Kolkerz talked about some of the situations about playing for the Reds and preparing for the pre-season tour.

Regarding the friendly match against Preston, you steal the ground ball with a non-traditional fish jumping header

- Yes, I watched the playback! I thought it was a foul before that, but then I saw that the referee did not give a penalty. The ball was a little far from me, I lost my balance and had to jump up. Then I got closer and I could use my head! I touched the ball, but I felt like there was a foul before that.

This is me, you know, this is how I compete, I always give it all. When you play for Liverpool, you have to give everything to the fans on the court, the team logo, and that's what I want to do.

About the team's pre-season preparations

- It feels very good and has a high intensity, which is the way we like to train. We are still adapting to the high temperature, but this is very good, all the players are training hard, and our physical condition is well prepared. I think it will definitely help, when we return to England, the lungs are already well trained because we are training in the heat and we all know the weather. So, I think this will be of great help to us and we will be fully prepared.

Is there anything that surprised you with Liverpool?

- I certainly know that this is one of the largest clubs in the world, and when I came here I was surprised by everything here, everything is so professional, so high. You have to train hard every day to compete because that is the highest level. This surprised me, but it was what I’ve been pursuing all the time, so I’m really happy.

About facing AC Milan

- Of course, I have played there and trained with the first team many times, and I know many of them. It would be fun and it would be good for me, and I could get more playing time and get better at adapting to my teammates. I am looking forward to it. What I have to face is my old boss, and I have good memories there.
