A dog needs to be taken to the hospital for examination and treatment immediately after being bitten by a snake. First confirm whether the dog is poisoned. If the snake is venomous and is not treated in time, it will cause the dog to die.
During treatment, ligate the upper end of the wound with a tourniquet or soft rope to prevent snake venom from entering the blood or lymph back, and clean the damaged tissue with a clean blade, then squeeze and detoxify, then rinse the wound with diluted potassium permanganate solution, and then feed the corresponding antidote to detoxify.
Doglycocorticoids can be used in large doses to enhance the anti-venom and shock effects; cardiac drugs such as caffeine or camphor can be used. If necessary, liquids such as sodium chloride, glucose or calcium gluconate can be injected intravenously.
