If someone asks, what is it like to raise a pet, many people will blurt out interesting words. But in fact, dogs believe that the most important thing about keeping pets is not fun, but responsibility. Pets have to depend on their owners for life. They can bring fun and trouble to their owners. Without a responsible heart, it is easy to engage in uncivilized pet-raising behaviors.

In the process of raising a pet, whether to sterilize or neuter the pet is a question that owners must face. Nowadays, pet stores and pet hospitals are very popular, making pet neutering more convenient.

An owner has a female American Shorthair at home. A few days ago, the cat was in its menstrual period and had a very bad temper. One time when the owner was playing with the cat, the cat meowed sharply for some reason, then pounced on the owner and scratched him. This is the first time a cat has attacked its owner. After mentioning this to a friend, the other person suggested that the cat be neutered. After female cats are neutered, their temperament will become docile and their life span will be extended.

After making this plan, the owner immediately contacted the pet store near his home, made an appointment, and took the cat there. Neutering female cats is more troublesome, and the hair at the surgical site must be shaved first.

The owner thought that since summer is here anyway, he might as well ask the veterinarian to shave more hair to make it cooler. After the veterinarian received the consultation, he took the cat into the operating room nearby, while the owner sat in the rest area and waited.

After about half an hour, the owner found that the veterinarian had not performed the operation yet, and several nurses ran out of the operating room with a smile. The owner felt strange and quickly got up and walked into the operating room to see what the problem was.

The owner hurried over and saw his cat tied to the operating table. The cat's forelimbs were twisted up and tied directly to the iron railing above the stage. The cat had a very desperate expression. When it saw its owner, it seemed like it just saw it. It kept fussing and tried to get away.

The veterinarian said helplessly that the cat at home was so uncooperative that shaving would be difficult if not tied up. Moreover, the cat’s reaction is too intense. It is not recommended to perform neutering surgery on the same day, as it is worried that the cat will have a stress reaction. However, considering that the cat was here, the owner still went ahead with the original plan. After comforting the cat for a while, he asked the veterinarian to perform surgery on it directly.

Fortunately, the operation went smoothly. The cat was hospitalized for two days for observation and then taken home.

Pet-raising science: Some owners may one-sidedly believe that sterilizing cats is cruel, but in fact it is even more cruel not to sterilize them and not allow them to reproduce naturally. After sterilization, cats do not have to endure the pain of unrequited menstruation, and can avoid the occurrence of many diseases in old age.
