Today, Sunderland announced on the club's official website that Stuart Harvey, director of player recruitment, will leave the club.
The club wrote: "The Northern Irishman has played an important role in the club's promotion from League One to the Premier League over the past four years. During his tenure, he has not only played a central role in developing and implementing the player recruitment strategy, but also successfully created a highly regarded player trading model."
"After months of discussions, the parties have decided to part ways amicably. Sunderland FC would like to thank Stewart for his contribution and wish him even greater success in the future."
