Sichuan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau decentralizes quarantine authority for entry and exit pet dogs and cats, and issues exit "passports" for pet cats for the first time

Under normal circumstances, animals cannot pass security inspection without inspection and quarantine. Recently, it was reported that the Sichuan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau decentralized the quarantine authority for entry and exit pet dogs and cats. Two pet cats, "sandy" and "bernic", successfully completed the exit quarantine procedures through on-site quarantine and successfully obtained exit passports.

It is understood that according to my country's "Quarantine Management Measures for Entry and Exit Personnel" and Canada's official requirements, pets must be quarantined and certified by our country's official agencies before they can enter the country. In order to allow the two special "passengers" to leave the country smoothly, the Mianyang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau carefully collected and studied Canada's regulations on companion animals. According to the relevant quarantine requirements at the border, Mianyang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau staff actively communicated with applicants by phone to inform them of relevant precautions for exit quarantine, and actively provided reference opinions for them to apply for domestic animal quarantine and immunity certification documents. During on-site quarantine, the staff of the Mianyang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau carefully checked the gender, coat color, and wildness of "sandy" and "bernic". Canine disease vaccination records, animal quarantine certificates and other relevant information, combined with clinical quarantine diagnosis, determined that the two pet cats were not found to be infectious or have infectious clinical symptoms, were in good health, and met Canada's entry requirements.

At present, the two little guys have successfully obtained their exit "passports" - "Animal Health Certificates". Yesterday (29th), the owners of "sandy" and "bernic" sent a message from Canada that their two cute pet cats had successfully entered the country
