Amorin has agreed to Manchester United arrange a mid-season friendly match in order to earn more income, according to the BBC.
Manchester United arranged several friendly matches in Malaysia and Hong Kong, China after the end of last season, bringing about £10 million in revenue. Manchester United has no European mission this season, and the club is likely to seek to fill this gap.
After losing to Tottenham last season's UEFA Cup final, Manchester United lost about 80 million to 100 million pounds; and although the prize money for the English League Cup was relatively meager, Manchester United lost to Greensby in the second round, cutting off this income.
At the same time, Amorin has agreed to the club to arrange a mid-season friendly match that can bring great benefits. Although the match or specific date has not been finalized yet, Manchester United will likely arrange at least one match in late November, December or January in conjunction with a warm climate winter training (such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Dubai).
Manchester United went to Saudi Arabia in January 2008 to participate in a farewell match when they lost 2-3 to Riyadh Crescent, a farewell match for Saudi striker Sammy Aljabel.
Amorin understands that given Manchester United's financial situation, he has no right to oppose the decision to organize a friendly match. "We have to do that. We know that after missing European games, there are many aspects to be compensated, including fans and budget. So we are planning all this to achieve our goals."
